FAMILY DEVELOPMENT NETWORK

The FDN program ended on a positive note – we met all of our numbers, even though we had a very late start-up. The program has been extended for another six months, ending September 30, 2009. The CDD expects us to see short term participants, or those who will be able to complete their sessions within the 6 month extension. It is not clear as to how many we will be required to service during those six months. They will get back to us with this number. We continue however, to receive numerous referrals for both sites from our partnering agencies and from other entities in the community. ECDA has hired two of the FDN trainees, Glenn Abrams and Brenda Sanchez - both are bilingual. So Luann is looking to recruit new trainees to replace them. We continue to attend all monthly FDN Consortium meetings.
